Edward Everett, The Other Speaker at Gettsyburg in 1863
Everyone knows that Abraham Lincoln gave what became a famous speech at Gettysburg in 1863.  Fewer know, however, that Lincoln was not the only speaker that day.  Edward Everett also spoke at the famous event and impressed many that day much more than Lincoln did.   BYU history professor Matt Mason talks with Marcus Smith about Everett today and his important though often overlooked role in American history.—Original airdate: 11/18/2013
