Great Works: Don Juan
When the auctioneer's hammer came down at Sotheby's this past week, a series of autograph letters in the hand of George Gordon Lord Byron went for almost half a million dollars. That price tag should tell you that Byron's words still matter, two-centuries after his meteorically bright and meteorically short life. Byron's classic poetic satire Don Juan is our selection for Great Works Monday, on today's Thinking Aloud.—Original airdate: 11/2/2009
