World AIDS Day with scientists Keith Crandall and Gregory Burton
Over the past decade, Keith Crandall and Greg Burton have each received a number of research grants from the National Institutes of Health and from the American Foundation for AIDS research. Crandall is chair for the BYU Department of Integrative Biology. Burton is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at BYU and a visiting scientist in the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University. We'll discuss just how far the scientific world has come in addressing the pandemic of HIV/AIDS, now 25 years old since its first classification in 1981.—Original airdate: 12/1/2006
