Thinking Aloud
Conversation with Utah artist Reid Nibley
Pianist Reid Nibley has performed far and wide over his long career, beginning in his teenage years with the Glendale Symphony (age 13) and the Los Angeles Philharmonic (age 17), and later in life as a regular with the Utah Symphony. His career has included work as an educator at various universities. In addition to being a concert pianist, educator, a family man, friend, and neighbor, Reid is also a composer. Six years ago, TA host Marcus Smith produced a two-part radio profile on Reid Nibley. In this interview, he gets a chance to catch up with Nibley and ask him a few questions about music in general and music education specifically.—Original airdate: 12/6/2006
