Thinking Aloud
Timpanogos Series: Recreation on Timp
Life bustles and swirls in a highly unique situation along the Wasatch Front. On one side, cities like Provo, Orem, and American Fork have developed into a highly urbanized strip where the modern world thrives. A short drive away, the wilderness area of Mt. Timpanogos presents visitors with powerful vistas and a natural environment that still manages to offer a convincing escape from urban life. But what are the consequences of such proximity between the modern and the natural? We're Thinking Aloud with Joe McFarlane, a Trails and Wilderness Manager for Uinta National Forest, and Phil Lowry, avid hiker and passionate outdoorsman.—Original airdate: 4/30/2008
