Golden Road: The Incense Trail
Stretching across the Arabian Peninsula is an ancient trade route, long forgotten in modern times but crucial to the economies of forgotten kingdoms. A new film produced with expertise from BYU tells the story of the "Golden Road." What necessitated it? Who traveled it? And what is the connection to the formerly coveted commodity called incense? Professor S. Kent Brown, current director of the Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies (FARMS) at BYU's Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship and independent producer Peter Johnson join us to relate their experiences in making the film, and to enlighten us about the history of the "Golden Road." At this point this DVD is not available for general distribution. To contact FARMS for more information, visit farms.—Original airdate: 7/17/2006
