Thinking Aloud
Women Authors from the Sophie Project
Back in an era when the educated males of Europe formed not only an exclusive and privileged class of people, but also were the primary power brokers in family, society, government, and the arts, Anna Luisa Karsch, Friderika Baldinger, Bertha von Suttner were writing, obtaining an education, and pursuing such things as philosophy, art, religion, politics, and everything else that matters to us humans. Their stories come together when we talk with BYU's Michelle James about the Sophie project.—Original airdate: 8/10/2009
