Four-Day Work Week
A new trend is altering the whole dynamic of working Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. Thursday is the new Friday, at least for some Utahns and others around the United States. To combat high commuting costs and improve worker productivity, some companies and government agencies are turning to a new schedule where employees work ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday. Two BYU researchers from the Marriott School of Management join us to talk about their research on the pros and cons of a 4-day work week.—Original airdate: 8/15/2008
