Historian Ronald W. Walker on the Massacre at Mountain Meadows
The culpability for Mountain Meadows has been debated for 150 years. Ronald W. Walker is one of three authors of a work in progress about the massacre. The first volume of this two-volume piece of scholarship is expected to be released next year by Oxford University Press. (The other contributors are Richard E. Turley Jr. and Glen M. Leonard.) Our conversation will focus on the social, political, and cultural context for the tragedy.—Original airdate: 9/10/2007
